Beavers          6 to 8 years old

Beaver Scouts are our youngest members. They usually meet weekly to take part in a wide range of activities including games, crafts, singing, visits and good turns, along with plenty of outdoor activities. They will also have the opportunity to take part in the fun and excitement of camps and sleepovers. It may be the first time they spend a night away from home so it’s a real adventure for them.

Meet School Term on Monday at 6:00pm - 7:30pm

Cubs              8 to 10 years old

The Cub Scout Pack is split into smaller groups called Sixes. Cubs take part in a wide range of activities designed to be interesting and challenging. A Cub Scout meeting consists of games and activities with plenty of time spent outdoors. Camps and holidays are some of the most memorable events. Cubs move up to Scouts around the age of 10½.

Meet School Term on Tuesday at 7:00pm - 8:30pm

Scouts            10 to 14 years old

Each Scout Troop consists of small units of six to eight Scouts called a Patrol, usually led by a Patrol Leader. Outdoor activities feature prominently, with the highlight being camping. Throughout the year, Scouts learn various skills, such as map reading, camp cooking and first aid in preparation for camp. Climbing, canoeing, cycling and ski-ing are just some of the things they get up to.

Meet every Friday at 7:30pm - 9:30pm

Explorers       14 to 18 years old

There are three ways in which 14 to 18 year-old can join Scouting.
  • As a Young Leader with us here at Romsley, helping with the age-group of your choice – Beavers, Cubs or Scouts. Our Young Leaders play an important role in the running of the Scout Group.
  • Or by joining a local Explorer Scout Unit with just 14 to 18 year-olds attending
  • Or you may want to help for a short time for your Duke of Edinburgh Award.
